How is biofield energy analysis used at Bioenergy Associates? 

Bioenergy Associates is grateful for the opportunity to network with EPIC Research and Diagnostics in Scottsdale, Arizona for an Evoked Photon Image Capture™ (EPIC) scan.  Dr. Nancy Roberts is a radiation biophysicist who has conducted research at the National Institute of Health and Aging, at the University of Arizona, and at Mayo Clinic Arizona.  Her extensive research has examined the changes in the human energy field as a result of acupuncture treatments & the validation of the EPIC™ equipment.  She is the past vice-chair for the Program of Integrative Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona, as well as a research consultant at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.  

Dr. Nancy Roberts, or a practitioner that has been thoroughly trained and certified by Dr. Roberts, performs the EPIC™ scan as a part of the initial consultation and prior to any intervention on our part.  This "snapshot" image of your bioenergy field offers an accurate baseline of your current state of well-being.

How Does the EPIC™ Scan Work?

The EPIC™ scan, which is completely non-invasive and painless, assesses the body's dynamic state of homeostasis - the balance and flow of electromagnetic fields in and around the body.  EPIC™ technology employs Eastern concepts, Western science and the latest mathematical algorithms, to assess the level of energy in the body’s "meridian" system (pathways of energy through the body).    The flow of energy in each meridian correlates with the functioning and “health” of the major organ systems in the body.

The images are captured through a camera that photographs your fingertips, which are sites of the acupuncture meridians.  Assessment of the size, vitality, brightness, fractality, and other parameters of an energy field are analyzed by state-of-the-art software to create static, real-time, photos and dynamic videos of the energy field.  The EPIC™ scan is a powerful tool for imaging the chakras (energetic reservoirs in one's body) and for measuring the stresses on your energy system by viewing the body from the front, left and right sides. 

A trained practitioner can evaluate the EPIC™ scan of your biofield to establish where your energy is weak, stressed or blocked.  Of course, the scan reveals where your energy is vibrant and robust, however, areas of weakened energy generally reveal where corrections/remedies should be focused for optimal well-being benefits.  It is important that the EPIC^™ analysis be interpreted by a well-trained clinician.  As an example, a break in your field, where energy is actually absent, could indicate exposure to a toxin, history of a trauma or a very high level of meditative skill (to the point where an "out-of-body" state is achieved).

The analysis helps both you and your health care provider decide what course of therapy would be optimal for you.  The information is evaluated and used to enhance the effectiveness of your treatment approach.  The end result is a greater energetic balance throughout the body, thus contributing to an optimum quality of life.  Dr. Roberts discusses the findings of the EPIC™ scan with each client so they can thoroughly understand and apply the information.  A printout of the analysis is provided.  This initial consultation usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. 

What can I learn about myself through my EPIC™ Scan? 

A composite analysis provides an accurate, visual image that is able to:

• Validate  one's current physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic states.
• Provide accurate, credible, reproducible human biofield “signature” patterns of an individual, and predict with a high probability, various illnesses such as: heart disease, malignancies (cancer), connective tissue and autoimmune disorders, diabetes and fibromyalgia before these manifest in the physical body.
• Determine the "root cause" of physical symptoms.
• Pre-screen for congenital weaknesses or environmental/physical stress areas that may develop into "dis-ease".

If energy is "invisible", how can I be certain there really IS a human biofield?

What a GREAT question!!  You are not the first person to ask...most of us are skeptical to some degree, especially since we live in a "see it to believe it" society.  Many scientists have been studying this topic...in the  United States, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a leader in research and education in our healthcare system, is conducting clinical trials on the Human Biofield.  For more information, please visit www.nccam.nih.gov.

Research on the Human Biofield has been documented in other countries for many years. The Tool for Measuring Your Biofield - the EPIC™  Scan

Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, Professor of Physics at the St. Petersburg State Technical University, SPIFMO, in Russia, is a world-renowned scientist who is internationally known for his progressive and innovative research on the human energy field.  He has published over 90 articles in leading Russian and international journals on biology and physics.  He is the author of several books including Light After Life: Experiments and Ideas on After-Death Changes of Kirlian Pictures,1998, NY, Backbone Publishing Co.  Dr. Korotkov is also associate editor of Consciousness and Physical Reality, a journal which publishes articles in Russian and English, and President of the Union of Medical and Applied Bioelectrography.

Dr. Korotkov developed an instrument to measure and study the human energy field, not only the distribution of energy flow in space, but also the state of the energy surrounding your body and  the state of specific organ systems.  This technique is based on the well-documented Kirlian concept, however, it quantum leaps beyond traditional Kirlian imaging - a method of photographing the energy system surrounding all living systems. 

How is human biofield analysis being utilized in research?

Currently, research utilizing the biofield imaging instrumentation is underway at universities and research institutes across the globe in areas of biophysics, sports training and peak performance optimization, medicine, altered states of consciousness (meditation, etc.), biofeedback systems, parapsychology, and many other areas.  The results have extraordinary implications for many fields including prognostic health assessment screening, selection of appropriate nutriceutical and traditional pharmaceutical supplementation, and a host of spiritually based modalities and sciences.  Of note, the National Institutes of Health and Duke University are both conducting research using this particular instrumentation and renowned educators C.
