How does nuclear energy works?
Okay so I’m writing a speech and I already have how it works. I’ll cope and paste what I have written but I need your help. How could a paraphrase it into one or two sentences just to do an overview. Thanks for the help guys!
So, what does happing in a power plant? It works almost the same as coal or oil plants, except a “chain reaction” inside a nuclear reactor makes the heat. The reactor uses uranium rods as fuel, and the heat is generated by nuclear fission. Water or carbon dioxide is pumped through the reactor to take the heat away. This then heats water to make steam. The steam turns the turbines that drive the generators. If that doesn’t make much sense, then I’ll explain. All it is saying is, …..

The radioactive fuel undergoes controlled fission, produces heat and that heat is transferred to a coolant. This coolant heats water to steam, the force of the steam turn turbines which turn generators which produce electricity.
