Who believes hurricane Igor was a category 5 hurricane?
I think Hurricane Igor was a category 5 hurricane because his winds were 155mph, which is technically category 4 strength. But his winds could have easily gone up to 156 or higher before he started weakening. Maybe they should change the wind scale to 154mph< to be category 5. And also, what do you think on adding a 6th category? Is it a good idea, or a bad one?
Didn't you say in my other question that Igor did obtain cat.5 intensity with 160mph?

Hurricane Igor was a category 4 hurricane. Igor did obtain a category 5 level on September 15th with 160MPH wind speeds. Igor weakened not long after that and went back down to a cat 4 level. I think Cat 1 through 5 is good enough.
