Does a UPS RV solar panel compatible with circuit breaker panel with a battery charger?

We are hanging panels solar in our motorhome. However, to get the outlets work, we have to plug this inverter in our circuit breaker panel. Panel circuit breaker has a battery charger and we are afraid to create a giant "circle" of power that will bring back our system. You wonder if is safe to connect the inverter to the panel charger / battery, if we could install a stop switch on the charger or if there is a Another option we do not?

Hey Sister, very good idea. I do not know exactly what you are doing. We have a house that is powered by the wind and sun, and a small camper with solar as well, but ours could be put in place a little different. The solar panels do you use not require an inverter to charge the battery, they should just hook the battery bank, directly or through a charge controller. If you are adding a drive to use battery power to run your AC outlets, a problem distinct. Most boats I have come in contact with a selector that selects between the battery charger or the inverter. So when you're on food docked, it remains in the position of the charger, which allows the battery charger to keep the battery at the float, and does not allow the inverter to the power the air conditioning system. Far from shore power, he was selected to the inverter, which allows the battery to power the inverter, which powers the air conditioning system, and the battery charger is then locked. This is why most RV and marine inverters have today both the charger and inverter built into one unit, and it goes for you when you plug the power cord to the dock. If you install solar panels yourself, see what the "short" note is on the panels. If it is 3 amps, for example, and you're hanging two of them in parallel, then you can have as much as 6 amps of charge current on a sunny day. Then see if you can find what is the amp-hour capacity of your battery bank. In general, if the maximum load current of the solar battery is less than 2% of the capacity-amp hour battery, then you do not need a charge controller, the panels will never be charge the battery. All you then need is a diode between the panels and the battery. A diode is an electric valve, allowing the panel to recharge the battery, but not allowing the battery to power back into the panel at night. There is a good book on the battery charge at the library, and a magazine you might consider looking into. I will list below. Good luck, and take care … Rudydoo
