What size of magnets determines the volts on a wind turbine?
Going green and looking for alternative energy. My home is not to big just a small 2 bedroom with kitchen and single bathroom. Need to produce at least 3,000 volts of electricity. Not sure if Im looking in the right area could not find much on the subject.
Volts is the wrong unit. I think you’re talking about Watts. Nothing in your home uses that much voltage to operate. It’s all 120V or 240V.
The size of a generator usually determines its power output. The voltage usually has to be regulated somehow to keep it at the proper household voltage. This used to be done by controlling the field current of the generator. Nowadays it’s done by an inverter(an electronic circuit that goes between the generator and your house).
If you’re thinking of building a generator yourself, forget it man unless you have access to a machine shop and can educate yourself on magnetics.
