How do I go about getting a wind turbine for my home? What are the rules for this in the UK?
I’ve heard the government can give you a grant to help out and if you generate surplus electricty you can sell it to power companies. Is this true?
In order to put a wind turbine on your home you have to have planning permission from the local authority.
As far as grants are concerned, I believe it varies depending on where you live. But yes, they certainly are available.
It is also true that surplus energy can be sold back to the grid. And all of this can be arranged with the wind turbine installers. You may also want to change electricity supplier, as the amount they pay you if often alot less than the amount you pay them for the same amount of energy.
